Add New Subagency

SAGY_ADD

This function allows the administrator to add a subagency to the database. To add a subagency to the database, click the Add new subagency option from the Subagencies drop-down menu. The Add Subagency screen is displayed in the Functionality area of the screen.

The administrator enters data into the following fields:

SAGY_ID

Identifier – The naming convention used for the identifier of a subagency must be alphanumeric and cannot contain any spaces. (Many subagencies use ORIs for the identifier.)

Name – Enter the full name of the subagency.

Status – The subagency may be active or disabled.

Miscellaneous – Any desired miscellaneous text information can be entered for the subagency.

If all the information is entered correctly, click the Next button. If the subagency is successfully added to the database, the Add Subagency Confirmation message appears on the screen.

SAGY_POC

Click the OK button and the Point-of-Contact Information screen is displayed. This function is used to enter a subagency’s point-of-contact (POC) information. These fields are not mandatory, but may provide future help for an administrator regarding the subagency. Note the State field defaults to the first state in the drop-down list.

After entering the subagency’s POC information, click the Next button to update the subagency information in the database.

Next, the Select Action Subagency Application screen is displayed. This screen is used by the administrator to select the version of the business rules to be used by the subagency. The Configuration Parameters menu option also allows specific application configuration parameters (ACPs) to be assigned to the subagency.

The Select Action Subagency Application screen consists of two sections: Actions and Applications. The administrator is provided with a list of available Actions, and entries for each Application related to the selected subagency. The administrator may only select one option from each list.

Actions

The Actions feature allows the administrator to select the version of the business rules, and rules groups to be used by each subagency. It also allows specific application configuration parameters (ACPs) to be assigned to a subagency.

Applications

The administrator selects the Application to apply the business rules and configuration parameters to for a particular subagency by clicking the radio button located to the left of the application ID field.

SAGY_APP_RULES

The Business rules option is selected by the administrator and the Omnixx Console is the application of choice governed by the Agency Rules group defaults. By clicking the Next button, the Subagency Application Business Rules screen is displayed.

The administrator may select from Available Rules Versions. The Rules Versions include two groups: Global or Agency. By deselecting the Default Rules Group check box, the user may click one of the two Rules Group options. Clicking the Default Rules Group check box ensures the Rules Group selected will be the default rules group used by all users within the subagency, unless otherwise specified by the system administrator.

Agency

The Agency rules group is default business rules parameters specific to a particular agency. These parameters are set by an agency’s system administrator, and only at this level can these defaults be changed for a subagency.

Global

The Global rules group is default business rules parameters configured for the entire agency and subagency network. These parameters are set by Datamaxx Applied Technology, Inc. personnel only.

Once the business rules group is selected, click the Next button to return to the Select Action Subagency Application screen. If no further actions are required, the administrator may click Done, then the Next button to continue.

SAGY_APP_ACP

If the administrator selects the Configuration parameters option, the Select Action Subagency Application Configuration Parameter (ACP) screen is displayed consisting of two sections: Actions and Parameters. The administrator is provided with a list of available actions, and a list of parameters related to the selected subagency. The administrator may select only one option from each list.

Actions

The Actions feature allows the administrator to select the action to apply to the subagency. It also permits specific application configuration parameters (ACPs) to be assigned to a particular subagency.

Parameters

The administrator selects a Parameter from the list to modify a particular subagency by clicking the radio button located to the left of the parameter ID field.

SAGY_APP_ACP_EDIT

If the administrator selects the Modify Parameter option, the ACP for a particular subagency is displayed with a description of the default value. This default may be overridden by the administrator and a new value entered for the parameter. To override the default, click the Override for Subagency check box and enter the default value in the field below.

By clicking the Next button, the administrator is returned to the Select Action Subagency ACP screen. If no other parameter modifications are required, the administrator may click Done, then the Next button to return to the Select Action Subagency Application screen.

If no further actions are required, the administrator may click Done, then the Next button to display the Add Subagency Complete message. Click the OK button to continue.

After successfully adding a new subagency to the database note that the administrator is returned to the Omnixx Console Main Menu screen, and the subagency just added to the database appears in the Subagency field.
