Omnixx Console Agency Functions

Omnixx is organized around agencies. In this context, an agency is an organization that provides and controls access to law enforcement information through a specific message switch. In many cases, that agency is a Control Terminal Agency (CTA), but it could also be a local agency such as a Sheriff’s office or police department. Agency information in Omnixx includes a collection of subagencies, devices, users, and applications (programs, business rules and support documents), all configured to support the agency’s policies and message switch formats. Devices and users are assigned to subagencies, which allow central agency administrators to delegate some administrative duties and responsibilities to their local counterparts.
