Application Program Versions

 

APP_PROG_VER

This function allows the administrator to manage application programs. It allows the administrator to modify the selected version of the program to be used by each application.

 

The Select Action Application Program Version screen consists of two sections: Actions and Versions. The administrator is provided with a list of available Actions, and entries for each program version related to the selected application. The administrator may select only one option from the list of Actions.

 

Actions

The Actions feature allows the administrator to select the action to apply to the program version for a particular application.

 

Versions

The administrator selects the Version from the list to apply to a particular application by clicking the radio button located to the left of the version ID field.

 

APP_PROG_EDIT

 

The administrator selects the Modify program version option, then clicks the Next button to display the Modify Program Version screen.

 

The administrator may modify the selected program version; however, the Identifier and Name fields are displayed in grayed text (“grayed-out”) and cannot be altered. Identifiers and the Name are referred to as primary keys and are used as search criteria. The production program version is controlled by Datamaxx Applied Technologies, Inc. personnel. Administrators regardless of their assigned authority cannot create or modify program versions. The update media will perform all modifications necessary to the database and install the files where necessary. Miscellaneous and the Production Version check box are the only fields that may be modified by the administrator.

 

Once changes are made to the Miscellaneous field and Production Version check box (if any), the administrator may click the Next button to continue. The administrator returns to the Select Action Application Program Version screen.

 

APP_PROG_DEL

 

If the administrator selects the Delete program version option, select the program version to delete by clicking the radio button located to the left of the version ID field, then click the Next button to display the Delete Application Program Version Confirmation dialog box.

 

If the administrator decides not to delete the program version from the database, clicking the Cancel button will display the Cancel Confirmation dialog box. The administrator may confirm his or her intention to delete the selected program version by clicking the OK button to display the Delete Application Program Version message.

 

If no further actions are required, the administrator may click Done, then the Next button to display the Application Program Version Complete dialog box.

 

The administrator may click the OK button to return to the Application Functions Main Menu screen.
